The “sigh” in the second panel really adds to the rhythm of this one. If you read a lot of old 4-panel comic strips, then read a lot of 3-panels (the same Andy, or Peanuts, or whatever), you start to miss that extra panel more than you would expect. Not that the 3-panels are “recent” by any means, of course!
