Sounds like Calvin wants to go swimming with the fishes.He would fit right in, the little bullhead.

Calvin’s Mom is going to have a hard time mopping up those stairs.

The bath tub doesn’t’t give much room to travel.

Speaking of tracking Watterson, there are some who have spent time tracking him without ever successfully locating him.

@Number Three: Calvin wants a big aquarium to stick his head in or swim in, because he has no fish to look at in his bathtub using his mask and snorkel.He wants to do this with his Uncle Max…….. wait…….. no, that’s not right………

A number of cartoons have snorkels. Even Beetle Bailey had Sargent Snorkel.

Many words with a “K” in them can be used for comic effect: Snorkel fits the category very well. It’s just fits awkwardly on the tongue.

Better sounds effects were needed for the snorkel. Imagine imitating Darth Vader’s breathing.

@Number Three: I think a lot of the humor in today’s strip was intended to be visual, with Bill Watterson able to get past the 1989 sensors by showing Calvin walking through the house naked, but drawing him at a proper angle in each panel. It would be more striking if it were in color. In the last panel the reader is invited to visualize what Mom is seeing, with her kid wearing nothing but a mask and snorkel.

Mom’s lucky Calvin didn’t go straight outside… again.

@Number Six: Then, perhaps Calvin’s name should be Seymour.(OK, now you really won’t be able to forgive me……..)
