Good morning to all my friends. @Gweedo: I suspect your are correct. He will do something rash. We will probably have to wait until Sunday for the last act. Y’all have a blessed day my friends.

They are sort of following the gist of the script, but in real life. Mel’s line here should be:

“Jonathan, you’re my brother. You’re a Brewster. I’m going to give you a chance to get away and take the evidence with you—you can’t ask for more than that.”

A couple of sentences later, the reply from Jonathan is“Are you still giving me orders after seeing what’s happened to Mr. Spenalzo?”

They are still following a sort of parallel to the play. I’m quite convinced that Mel is loosely patterned on Mel Tormé, who was, of course, a piano player.

Even if the audience didn’t hear yesterday’s conversation between the actors, they certainly heard today’s. Dick is apparently familiar enough with the play that he knows something’s wrong, but he doesn’t yet know what. Tess doesn’t seem to know they play that well and thinks her husband is being a bit picky.

Meanwhile, Agate Aggie, is in total shock still at this turn of events, and I think she should be as fearful as she looks, because if Gruesome wants a hostage for any reason to defend himself from Mel, A.A. is the only one really handy.

By tomorrow’s strip, there ought to be a knock at the door from Officer O’Hara. I’m sure that Tracy knows that and I won’t be surprised if it’s him at the door instead of the actor. In fact, the play either has to stop entirely at this point, or either Tracy or Lizz should be at the door of the set to continue the parallel structure. From there on, I think the action on stage will be very off-script.

Morning, Tracyville!Meanwhile, the audience is probably laughing harder than everr. Those who know the script are in stitches because they think it’s a deliberate ad-lib and those who don’t just think it’s funny!

Your husband, the detective, Tess, who’s finally starting to act like one! I’m sure Tracy is armed, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Tess had a piece in her purse. Lizz is at the stage door (if she hasn’t frozen to death yet). Sam is in storage. But, yes, some uniformed cops should be called in as back-up, because Gruesome has too many options open to him on stage—especially if he is armed. I expect big action, but not “the final act,” on Sunday….

I was thinking that Gruesome would be wearing Sam’s Wrist Wizard and when Tracy called Sam, it would ring on Gruesome’s wrist. Maybe Sam has it on video game mode and blocks all incoming calls.

Meanwhile, offstage, Vitamin turns to Kandikane and says, “The play’s unraveling – care to blow this dump?”

Ok Mel, I’ll just pick up this here dang body and carry it out in front of the whole theater. I’m sure no one will notice. Tracy’s, don’t you know it’s rude to talk while the play is on? How embarrassing! Can’t take you two anywhere! Sheesh!
