Uh oh. I was afraid of this. Little Timmy has been around all of these poor role models for so long he’s becoming just like them. Little bugger’s starting to get a smart mouth on ’im just like Burl and the rest of this lot. sigh
I initially thought Marlene was talking to Dale, which opens up a whole other range of possibilities. But no.Timmy does seem to have a double portion of smartass on display today. I wonder where he observed/learned that? Back in the day, my grandmother’s treatment for that was a drop of Tabasco on the tip of the tongue. That worked until we took a trip to south Louisiana one summer and we started asking for more!
Yeah, movies as teacher and babysitter….While they eat Ding-Dongs and gossip about the neighbors, Timmy learns etiquette from “The Godfather,” and morals from “Casino”…
Just imagine what they’ll let him watch to learn about relationships!
No…. probably not porn, at least…
They don’t watch that, cos they don’t understand it.
I think Timmy is getting wise to the Penny tribe is all. I mean none of them a intelligent enough to have any authority on anything. Grandma’s cooking is below substandard. so why eat something that is substandard.
Not at all. Timmy really does want to know what he’s not going to get. She can’t do much to ruin canned cord, and he wouldn’t mind so much finishing it, but there is a great deal of her cooking, desserts included, that he wouldn’t mind being deprived of at all. .(Oh, and there you have it folks. The very last aqua wall phone found in the wild in America.)
((And don’t tell me you think she’s looking at Burl. Do you really think Burl is leaving any food uneaten? Really?))
I really dislike that Timmy is getting a bit rude. He has been such a nice, gentle (albeit somewhat tortured) kid. I think it is horrendous to have a little kid watch “The Godfather” or any film of that ilk. And, even though I know the films are considered “masterpieces” I personally abhor them for the messages they portray.

He’s not gonna get that 3 day old cake that Marlene froze 6 months ago. Timmy would do well to run!

……already worse than it seems: Timmy thinks: “Every time I think I’m out, THEY PULL ME BACK IN!!!”
