Even after 5 amendments, the US Constitution has nothing to guarantee the right to vote.

We need a constitutional convention to clean up some of the problems with our constitution. The 2nd amendment needs clarification, the life time appointments for supremes needs to be abolished, etc.. Sadly, such a convention would be hijacked by the right wing news mofia and the corporations and we would be in a facist police state. Maybe if people would just f**king VOTE we could clear up this crap.

Lalo’s comic: It is truly shameful how the GOP has taken up the Democratic mantle of vote supression, poll taxes, and Jim Crow (albeit lighter versions). Those things are best left on the ash heap of history in the Democratic south.

I have to show an I.D. to cash a check, sometimes when using a credit card. I need one to drive a car legally. Some medications require an I.D. I also need either a photo I.D. or my voter registration card to vote. I don’t have a problem with it.

Totally irrelevant to voting as it has always been done with miniscule fraud. It was always based on address, and therefore, for tiny benefit, and with major penalties, it was rarely a problem. So, to prevent one person from committing fraud, we would rather disenfranchise millions of elderly and minority legitimate voters. “I got mine, Jack….”
