Transcript:
UNICORN WITHDRAWAL, Stage 3: barganing. Phoebe: Hey, Dad... If I clean my room, can you summon my unicorn back? Dad: Oh, honey... There comes a moment in every child's life when she has to learn her parents can't summon unicorns. Phoebe: Actually, I knew it was a long shot. Dad: Worth checking. Go clean your room.

Very, VERY, long shot…
But kinda adorable nonetheless.

Ummm . . . not to be a grammar stickler, but shouldn’t that be “when she has to learn” instead of “when she have to learn”?

Traditionally unicorns are called to virgins. Traditionally, parents aren’t virgins.

I didn’t think Unicorns were summonable (apologies to grammarians and purists. Taking license.)

Florence: Is it your human friend?Marigold: It is her father, trying to get me to return. If he does not stop, I shall have to put my phone in pegasus mode.

@Hag5000Oh my gosh, lol. I need a pegasus mode! And a decent phone. Although, I bet unicorn mode is even better. And seeing as Marigold texts with her horn, wouldn’t she put that in pegasus mode? Where would she put a phone anyway?

That’s profiling, that is. I’ll have you know that some of us have even been known to do the ironing as well, when the housework-fairy’s busy with other things.

Phoebe’s Dad is undoubtedly in the running for best character in this strip – laid back in all the right sorts of ways.

Phoebe’s Dad gives her something to do to take her mind of the unicorn. He IS a cool character in so many ways.
