The hippies re-awoke America’s social conscience which was lost during the 50’s red-scare.

The things that were “fads” in the 1960s are mainstream today.

First thing that popped into my head is the video of the 3 grandma’s getting high and playing Cards Against Humanity. If you’ve not seen it, it’s a bit long but funny.

Yeah, I was horribly square when it came to drugs. Sex and rock and roll – let’s just say I still don’t tell my grown sons the entire tale.

Drugs and so-called free sex……the sixties were the beginning of the end of this country. Sadly it is worse today. A nation gone under.

To all those doing such hand-wringing bemoaning of the end of America, I recommend the book “The Way We Never Were” — you are longing for a time that largely didn’t really ever exist. And I’m 99.99999% sure you folks are white and heterosexual, because very few people who aren’t would be longing for the 50s these days.
