Sadly, it is (on a larger and more tragic scale), the same principle that happens when people have kids but no job skills and then complain that their minimum wage jobs don’t pay enough to support a family. Of course, it’s “mean-spirited” to say that they should have waited to have sex and kids until they could support a family…

People who have little or no education have way too many babies, People who have only a little more education complain about people who have less than they do. People who have yet more education understand that having babies and complaining are lousy answers to the world’s problems. Education is a way better answer over the long haul.
