I might blame Phil. If a non-reptile killed the little kitchen fellow, it might reinforce " Fur legs bad, Scale legs good". And get Phil’s secret out of the picture.

Or maybe Piotr. Piotr may want the little fellow gone, but alive, Piotr can blackmail Phil, for the occasional indulgence. Or maybe, no one is really concerned about Chic, they just want to trap Jim in the walls. Yeah, let’s pretend there is a shred of humanity left, and it is just ignorance and incompetence governing the actions. Maybe the guards are just covering themselves and trying to capture the escapees. Have you voted today? Please vote early and often

Poor, innocent Chic. I think Aaron has sent word Chic is five years old. Sure, five years in a post-apocalyptic world, and quite mature for his age, but not really seeing how cold the world can be.

Remember to buy your holiday prints from the auction site. Just click on the  Purple Link to the right  and go through the history and pick out some of the artwork for a print. There have been some lovely pieces, and some powerful ones, but the price is a bargain, and every few dollars help.

I think there may even be a “DONATE BUTTON” at the auction site, in case you want to send a few dollars, or many dollars.

    Thank you for supporting Endtown.JusSayin

Someone’s either trying to keep Jim in, or keep Chic in. Let one problem take care of another.

Don’t let Jim out. Non-sauropods trapped in there with him? Who cares? Not the sauropods for sure.

Looks like Chic’s “Dad” has taken care of the problem. With Jim trapped in the walls it is time to call Dale’s Dead Bug or Billy the Xteminator.Five years is a lot in any war zone, to see that thousand yard stare in a child is especially hearbreaking.Children are often pawns in war, in central Africa the median age is 15.6 compare to the relatively aged population here in the US which is 38.4. I find it disconcerting to see 10 year olds who are better with an AK than most adults. Poverty and disease play into these factors of median age, but to have one death from war is a “shonda” (shame) and a crime upon humanity.Chick’s father has thrown him to the Wolves.. er Raccoon, a callous act that has solved an nagging problem. If his mother finds out the “king” might find out he’ll be safer in the walls with Jim than an angry wife.Holly is a mouse, perhaps she should use those choppers of hers to start gnawing through that wooden box that is preventing their egress.

Holly is a mouse, sort of. And that looks like wood. And…she does have a nice set of incisors….

My guess is that our Fearless Leader found a way to solve two problems at once. If he is able to keep Jim trapped in the secret passageways then he can protect the colony from Jim and get rid of a threat to his leadership.I wonder if he is aware of all of the ways Jim may be able to get in or out. Its easy to shut the door to this particular passage way but there was also the hole in the ceiling that Jim escaped through. How many other openings are there? Can the leader be sure that he has all of them covered? If we’re lucky, Holly and Chic will find one before Jim gets to them. If the lizards are unlucky, Jim will find one and get into a place that they don’t want him to get, like the pantry or nursery.

I knew this would happen! I so called this! The lizards must be stacking crates over the holes.…And it was clearly too much to ask for the King to make any kind of effort to save his first-born son.…If they hurry, there may still be the hole in the ceiling Jim went through.

What I Hope will happenis that Piotr is a good dad and finds Holly and Wally and has a way of contacting Chick and gets the 3 of them out of lizardopalolas safe.I wonder how they got chick hidden in the 1st place.go down this hall Son, there are a big box of twinkles about 500 steps and the Dad was gone by the time chick had eaten lots of twinkles.or did he carry the sleeping Chick into the maze one night?either way, he may have known the only way to keep him safe was to get him to stay out off sight.

it is hard to see a little guy who is beginning to realize that he is not very important to the only people who Did Care.

Why did no one see the worried look on Chick’s dad’s face when he learned Jim had gone into the passageways? He mentioned the need to get Jim out of there, because he “might cause damage”. But it is a lizard-wide hunt and prevention search, due to the whole colony suddenly becoming aware of a wailing and shrieking little furball of lunacy. Some may even recognize the sounds for what they are. Piotre predicted its occurrence. Most do not know (or care?) about Chick’s existence, let alone that he lives in the walls. Those who do know of him probably do not care where he sleeps or wanders on his time off, so long as it is out of their space..Chick’s dad has gone to great lengths to hide his son within the colony. To hide that he cares for this servant; from those who know of a servant existing. While he’d much prefer that Chick would leave, it seems unlikely he wants him dead. Leaving actually would be a good and healthy thing for him to do. Little Chick could never understand this, having never seen any other society before.

Three steps over Japan: Pretty good circumstantial evidence that this is fearless leader’s doing. But,.Flammata: I lean your way, that daddy doesn’t really want his chick dead..Are we really sure they know he’s in the walls?

If he’s five that means there’s a chance he could have some sort of flight ability(he wouldn’t have developed primaries that young), possibly meaning he’s more suited than the lizards
