Dear Santa, please bring me a Schwinn Stingray Fastback with banana seat and sissy bar. You have a bicycle, and it works fine. I will leave my old bike by the fireplace so you can give it to a kid without one.
Yup. I had this bike (gold with red flames). Evel Knievel was big at the time, and I mean BIG. More than a few of us kids managed to scare the hell out of our parents in those days.
Aww how sweet! Rover is Red’s conscience it seems. I had a Shwin bike (pardon the possible misspelling). But I am a lot older than Red. Grew up in the 50s.

I wonder what the old bike would be worth on a trade-in?

Don’t be a spoil-sport, Rover! That was one rad bike back in the day! ;)

I remember that bike. Silver with flames. Wrecked it Christmas day jumping garbage cans in the alley. Just a minor scratch. (or two) lol

I used to have a golden yellow one with slicks for the rear tire…so cool. Sissy bar came later and worked well.
