Cecil established early on in their marriage that Sissy would wait on him hand and foot. She went along with it because…well…no one had yet asked for her hand in marriage and she needed to get away from her mother, Mrs. Dumpdoodle, who was a harridian.Sissy thinks the rope pathway is a bit much tho, and those chocolate chip cookies contain chocolate of another variety. Cecil will be busy tomorrow.

Well, velvet ropes are ropes nonetheless.Some people see the velvet, at first, and only notice the rope part later.

On the other hand…. some people are looking for ropes, right from the start.

And some, not…. but they do enjoy the special attention.,, and maybe even thrive on need.

But in this case, it’s not obvious whether the Cecil’s need is for cookies or Sissy…Which she does not find satisfactory.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I came across a fun factoid: St Nicholas is the patron saint of brewers. (As well as children and pawnbrokers.)

Does Sissy realize she can unhook those ropes and reroute to another chair?? Or just step OVER the rope. That is what I do when I see those velvet ropes.

@ Happy cubedWhen I drove night routes I used to have women swinging from the standee poles on my bus.

BRI, Here we have men doing chin ups on the over head poles. Of course, that is during the day time. I can’t vouch for who does what on the poles at night. Talking about subways here. Buses are different. The poles aren’t conducive to dancing or gymnastics. Lol

Sorry, Stel… I was so tired, I just didn’t see that the ropes were leading Sissy there…I thought she was so devoted she was bringing you cookies all on her own…carrying one of the poles.
