As much as I hate to dis my fellow Dems, years ago the democrats got a majority in the Statehouse after years as the minority party. As a show of bipartisanship the Speaker tried to appoint some Republicans to some posts. Rank & file got all over him. Not our finest hour.

KZ71: Several thoughts; two stand out: One, does Prickly City always have to be political? Some of the best PC is just Carmen and Winslow – and this is a great example! But, two, on second thought, when it comes to politics, isn’t this the main problem? “You first!”.ajr58: Which statehouse? (I’m in Colorado, where Gweedo Murray likes to say, “It’s legal here!”)

The problem with politics is the same as with street crime. Each gang is determined to take your money to use as it wishes. The cure is to stop them from taking your money, by whatever means necessary.

Politics as a team sport; winning is everything. Consensus is not an option. Sad…
