Twice is just making sure, like “measure twice, cut once”. Checking it six or seven times in between multiple hand-washings whilst intoning the Greek alphabet, I’d say that’s closer to OCD. (I had a roommate that would sing the Greek alphabet at random. Weird person.)

I disagree. There’s a lot of kids in the world that could easily be missed in one passover, so I’d check it twice too.
