I remember in the sixties having to make those “valentine mailboxes” in art class, and then you had to give valentines to all and sundry. There were kids who always got the “mercy valentines”—the little ones from the boxes of 30 stores sold. Everybody kept a covert eye out to see who got the biggest envelopes, and who got only small ones.

He’s going to lean on the mailbox for 5 days?

Ya gotta send ’em if you wanna get ’em.

Maybe I’m only saying this because we’re getting another foot of snow right now, but how is it that Charlie Brown lives in Minnesota, and there is grass on the ground in the middle of February? He doesn’t even have a jacket on!

The first real Valentine I ever got was from my husband.

5 more days to wait for valentines, Charlie Brown.

He needs a tent. I also think the wait for a new I-phone will be shorter.

I am getting a new kitty – what a great valentine!

You’ve got to give valentines to get them, Charlie.

I’ve given up on ever getting any Valentines. I give them, but after years of never getting any (even tho I GIVE them), I bought myself some expensive Estee Lauder anti-wrinkle cream, flowers for my table, and a whole pound of red, white and pinks M & M’s. Sigh….life is good.

I hope he wasn’t disappointed.

To misquote “Jaws” : “You’re gonna need a smaller mailbox!”
