The material for making your own snowballs is plentyful (at least in that comic strip. Here in Toronto there is no snow left) so I don’t see his business booming. Now if he stored all those and sold them in the summertime, that would be different.
I once set up a display of an inexpensive item ($0.39 regular price) and the sign said “3 for $1.00 or 33 cents each”..Interesting to note, almost everyone purchased in multiples of 3!
