The fifth thing at Christmas that’s such a pain to me: five months of bills (sending Christmas cards, hangovers, rigging up the lights, and finding a Christmas tree).
I always use credit and pay it off each month automatically. I either get cash back or miles for usimg credit so I feel that I am actually benefiting from using them. I flew free to Kauai.
Pay as you go for us. If we haven’t got the cash, we don’t get the itemWe went through the credit card thing years ago and wound up eating popcorn and cheerios for supper in order to pay down the debt. We had our popcorn in our credit card living room and our cheerios in our credit card dining room. What a horrible experience, and all so that we would feel “successful”. The irony was choking us. It took six years of sacrifice to get free, because we didn’t want to go bankrupt.NEVER again.
We are in the group that uses credit cards and pays them off every month and we get the cash bonuses. We had over $500 in our bonus and spent it at Amazon for Christmas presents.
Mostly cash; however, I do have the American Express Card. Of course, the full amount is due the following month and if you don’t pay, they will take your first born male child…
Pay our credit cards off every month. Used for household items, groceries, gas, etc. that we would otherwise pay cash for. Been doing this for years. Can’t tell you how many gift cards, cash backs, Amazon shopping, we have gotten as a result. IF YOU DO IT RIGHT, IT IS A “WIN WIN” SITUATION!

Credit – and this month’s bill is already paid. Of course I’m sure some people’s credit card bills would sink them like a fruit cake in water.

If this is normal I’d rather be odd

Credit mostly (unless it’s a small amount). Pay the bill when it comes. All my cards have cash back incentives.

Cash for Christmas. Credit card has been retired after the 3 root canals and the new roof in the past year. Dont even ask about the dishwasher.
