I’d really, really like for any of those people responsible for the US’s torture program to forget themselves and travel to a country that would arrest and prosecute them for it. What I’d like even more is that the US government itself grow a pair of ovaries and conduct criminal prosecutions itself. With Dick Cheney right there at the top of the docket.
Our friendly neighborhood Supreme Court Justice A. Scalia thinks that torture is against the 8th Amendment to the US Constitution, that is, “cruel and unusual.”But! that only applies to punishment— if you are being interrogated pre-trial, that’s A-OK because the 8th amendment doesn’t apply. So, to recap:Convicted and found guilty: can’t tortureHeld and presumed innocent: torture away!
I agree with you, but remember we elected him. Let’s keep it in mind and find the time and energy to get involved or we’ll get what we dread and deserve (again).
Bush is simply delightful to listen to compared to Cheney. Bush is merely a dangerous simpleton, where Cheney is psychopathic. It makes me sad that he can be called a “fellow American”.

You are entitled to your opinion, as the rest who disagree with it. God bless the United States of America and its freedom of press and speech…
