The first, and one of the very few, round of golf I ever played was a foursome. Me, my dad, a co-worker and his son. The co-worker literally threw clubs when he muffed a shot, which was often. That, along with dogs burying stuff and people walking into light poles, was something I only thought happened in cartoons until I actually saw it.

Why do they say “shoot” a round of golf? Firearms are not involved at all.
Do you use a different kind of bullet to shoot a golf than you do to shoot a pool?
