Or CAN dogs read? Something is going on with Snoopy smirking like that.
he is laughing because Charlie wrote for the first time “the red haired girl is beautiful”
snoopy just can’t read out loud. or tell anyone what he read.
So THAT’S why Snoopy eventually became a writer – tell-all bios!
Snoopy could use a diary.
I am most amazed because recently Charlie Brown said that he was four years old; now he is writing in a diary. Back in the early 50s, kids started learning to read in first grade, at 6, not in kindergarten, at 5. Charlie Brown is ahead of his time.
Actually, Charlie Brown, Snoopy writes novels on his typewriter.
Bad assumptions can return and bite you where the sun doesn’t shine…
Not only can he read, but he is handy at reading upside down words.
Charlie Brown should learn to write his diary on dark and stormy nights……….
We know Snoopy can read, because there’s one strip in which it is pointed out that he moves his lips while doing so.
Reading at 3 and a half. Can read words that are upside down as well
Meanwhile, Snoopy runs back to his doghouse, brings out the trusty typewriter, then begins with: “It was a dark and stormy night…”
Diaries are very personal things, unless you’re someone who likes letting everyone know all your dirty laundry and claiming you want to be left alone
Of course, you’re all assuming Charlie Brown is actually writing words, instead of childish gibberish… Maybe he can’t write and Snoopy can’t read.
