Ok, I’m impressed. Impressed he managed to keep it up indoors. I tried that once back in the ‘80s. Was going to a camporee in the Boy Scouts and wanted to check out the tent I was going to be using before the camporee. Since I wasn’t going to be allowed to sleep outside that night as it was going to be too cold and I didn’t yet have to proper gear to deal with the cold I asked if it would be ok if I tried setting it up inside. It was ok with my folks to try it so I did. Something to understand, this wasn’t my first time setting up a tent, but it was the first time I couldn’t hammer stakes into the ground and set up proper guidelines. Needless to say I had to find out at the camporee just how good the tent was because it wouldn’t stay up inside. Today I’d probably have figured out ways to offer weights to hold it up that I couldn’t think of then.

OK, a tent from the 50s? How do you keep it up without the stakes?
