At that age I used to love fall for all the nice piles of leaves to jump in. And Halloween, once the piles of leaves started appearing I knew Halloween was coming. Christmas and Halloween, my two favorite holidays.
Charlie Brown, you’re too young to have that much of a sense of the passage of time. Wait until you’re my age (54) — then you’ll REALLY see how fast the years go by!

Spring and Fall, to a young child….
Márgarét, áre you gríeving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leáves like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! ás the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you wíll weep and know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sórrow’s spríngs áre the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It ís the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.

World Turning
A single bud begins to bloomAnd starts a wave of flowersThe birds all fly and sing their songsOr hide when there are showers
The tiny seeds blow in the airAnd love is all aroundThe breeze is delicate and lightAnd barely makes a sound
The sun beats hot upon the groundThe sky is still and blueThe grasses start to fade a bitNot quite as bright as new
The warmer air and hiding breezeMakes everything seem slowThe little showers hide and seekTo help the flowers grow
The wind picks up a little chillTo frost the morning airThe leaves burst into hues so brightAnd flutter everywhere
The stocking time has come aboutFor creatures large and smallThey fill their lairs with food to lastTo answer season’s call
A gentle blanket thick and whiteWill cover all aroundIt wraps the earth in sleepinessAs it falls on the ground
Everything is still and coldThe storms all blow awayThe sun will lie of blessed warmthUntil snow melts away
A single bud begins to bloom…

I enjoy the seasons; winter, spring, summer, and fall or autumn. Each comes at the right time and is most enjoyable.
