Still, why would a girl want a boy’s magazine? This here boy is as confused as Patty.

Now there’s an inventive way to get the magazine. Either he doesn’t have the money to pay for a subscription so he’s hoping a friend does and will loan it to him or he does have the money but doesn’t want to spend it on the magazine and he’s hoping to get a friend to waste their money so he can borrow it.

Huh! I read Boys Life back in the day, and no one said anything.

I was a huge fan of Field and Stream, which my brother bought and never went hunting or fishing.

It would have been better if Charlie Brown offered the Grit newspaper that used to be offered in comic books.

You got a Boy’s Life subscription if you were a Cub Scout or a Boy Scout. I think that it came as part of your dues. The two magazines had some common articles and some articles that were age specific.

“loan” is a noun. “lend” is a verb.

Just read it while on the route. That’s what I would do. I will even sit on a store selling magazines and read them right there. Nobody ever says anything.

Love that little tuft of hair on the back of Charlie Brown’s head. Nice detailing.
