That’s not Ludwig’s Fifth, is it? The banging makes me think it is.

at such a young age he realized the importance of hiding one’s true talents least other’s try to make money off them.

Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!

After a while, Schulz was carefully rendering bits of Beethoven (most often sonatas). I don’t recognize whatever this is, but he was doing Rachmaninoff a few weeks back.

It’s not the Liszt transcription of Beethoven’s Fifth, though.

(Third panel could be “Sur le pont d’Avignon.” It starts out with three plinks.)

Chico Marx made most other piano players look pretty silly (but of course that’s kind of an acquired taste…….)

This reminds me a little of the Gary Larson gag where a bunch of cows stand on their hind legs, and one shouts “car!” In the second panel, they’re all on four legs while a car is passing, and in the third, they’re standing upright again. But surely Patty has seen Schroeder’s piano skills already?

Schroeder seems very glad Patty respects his time on the piano. He better enjoy it, cause once Lucy appears, it will be goodbye peace.
