I remember once when I was about 8, a friend of mine was over at my house playing. My mom asked him if he would like to stay for lunch. Being a responsible young man, he asked if he could check with his mom first. However, instead of asking for permission, he asked his mom, “What are we having for lunch?” I seem to recall he was never asked to play at my home again…
