That is very true.I have seen coffee vaporized when tossed into the sub zero air while stationed in Alaska.Engine oil go solid. Diesel fuel turn to goo. Pee freeze as it hit the ground.
That is good because then you would have had icy pants.In our Arctic survival training we covered things like that.A story was a man had his hands getting very cold probably near frostbite condition so he did pee on his hands to attempt to warm them. The issue is with heat exchange. Extreme cold sucks off heat like an enraged vacuum cleaner so like the coffee tossed in the air as the pee hit his hands it flashed frozen causing even worst freezing. This was a medical evaluation of this guy after his death. He did freeze to death.
