I’m reminded of a high school teacher who had a mathematics degree from Duke. She said one of her first assignments there was to PROVE that 1+1=2. I still don’t know if she was kidding, but I think not.
Got to start somewhere.
The fact that we use a base 10 numbering system instead of a base 20 proves that we invented shoes before we invented arithmetic.
1+1=many. Hey, they had to start somewhere.
