Don’t be so sure, Ruthie. My wife had cold sweats one day almost two years ago and realized she was having a heart attack. Two stents later, a hospital cardiologist assured her that her heart was fine, essentially undamaged. She asked, “Then why am I still having cold sweats?” They ran an MRI and realized that inserting one of the stents had caused a small stroke that affected her inner temperature regulator. That she had suffered one stroke, no matter how small, meant that we had to be observant for other symptoms going forward. So now we have that sword of Damocles hanging over our head for the rest of our lives.

I can relate and I’m not old yet. I see being just like my bundled up grandmother in a few more years. Sigh.
