Katy: I can't believe how mean this substitute teacher is. Ms. Judge: I hope you know I was kidding earlier. We're all going to have fun this week. Katy: Phew! Ms. Judge: Now, we'll start by addressing me as "empress judge" and fetching my slippers. Lol! Again, just kidding. Katy: I don't know if I love her or hate her.

Could it be that Ms. Judge’s ancestry goes all the way back to a Marquis

1. In the 4th panel, wondering if she did actually laugh out loud, and this was a way of indicating such, or did she actually say LOL.
2. IMHO, I believe her passive-aggressive personality warrants time with a professional. There is no place for such activity in the classroom. She is there, not to play with the minds of young ones, but to mold them.

Maybe it’s just her way of keeping the kids on their toes. Sometimes kids don’t give substitute teachers any respect (or their regular teachers, either).

Now we know she can be a comedian but can she be a teacher. Time will tell.

When I was a brand new teacher, the great lady across the hall gave me a piece of advice that I have passed on to all the new teachers I knew; Be pleasant, kind and fair, but NEVER SMILE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

She needs to change her name to Ms Apprehension. Get a nice double play on words in there.
