It is her sister who is ill and had her leg amputated, but last we heard she was doing well. We are hoping she is spending the holidays with her family and does not have computer access.
QueenofA I got the cat condo ($20) at Wal Mart, I hate going there as much as I hate giving them my money, but they have the best selection of pet food and toys in my local area. Otherwise I have to drive 30 miles to Middletown to go to PetSmart, which I prefer.
Dream: I understand and agree with you on the WM thing. We have one just down the street – otherwise we have to drive into St George for PetCo and PetSmart. Or anything else! We have ONE, count e’m ONE little grocery store here besides WM. It’s very expensive so unless we have fewer than ten things on a list, it’s WM. We have a care repair place, a tire place, a Slick Willys (oil change/car wash), an 8 screen theater (we’re used to huge megapexles) and a bunch of small businesses. Hurricane UT is worse than just being a small town – it’s run by old white Mormons who want to keep us in the 1940s. As for diversity in the population, there is none. Brad works at the high school and I asked him how many non-whites attend. He said about 5. I’ll tell my friend where to look for the condo thing.
I was given some catnip as a Christmas present for my cat, Tabby. I was told that many cats don’t react to catnip, but to rub some between thumb and forefinger and drop it onto the table and see what happens. WOW! My 9 1/2 year old cat experiencing catnip for the first time rolled in it, nuzzled it, and purred louder than I have ever heard before. He rubbed his head against mine in thanks and scarfed it up. After a while, he went upstairs and slept off his high.
Very cute comic today. Annie, you know you can’t win with Chesney. Beviek – cute videos. 2old – cute pictures. Eldo – you can remember 16 days ago? Rikki Tavi – cute pictures – I love the cat resolutions!
We should all meet our cats-what fun.I will start with my Specklepaw-all my cats have “ear tips” because they started life as ferals that I trapped and fostered or brought home from bad situations. Speck came from a parking lot of a business where I was trapping a colony. She is a beautiful Tortie with long fur and especially long fur between her toes.Picture next.
I have my own Chesney; his name is Spencer. Very sassy and bites when he’s grumpy. Adorably sweet when happy. Makes me wonder what I ever did to deserve him. lol
Mine crossed the Rainbow Bridge some time ago. Wendy was a Burmese, she decided one day the feral colony behind us was more fun than life with two toddlers. And she was wearing a new collar! Wouldn’t come back. Next we had Jenny-fur 1and2. Torties and so sweet. Jenny 1 had FIV and Jenny 2 met a car on a rainy night. Next came Tilly, Vet said she was insane, but we loved her. Neighbor took her to the pound and didn’t tell us until months later. (well she liked to attack and bite). Then we got Tiger, Max and Toshie. Tiger had claws that had to be 3 inches long. A big lover, but don’t move your hand to fast! Max was a Silver Shadow Tabby, Beautiful but soooo dumb. Neighbor kids would dress him in doll clothes and parade him around, He loved children with all his heart. Toshie was a Tortie and my companion and the smartest animal I’ve ever had. Her amazing feats would take up two pages. She and Max lived to 20 each. Now we are catless and dogless, but my daughter just adopted a rescue. Shorty is (we think) Chihuahua-daschund-rat terrier mash up. She is adorable and Nana and PopPop get to play with her loots.

I had forgotten about Ruth’s sister. Either way, something isn’t right and yes, we must keep her in our prayers.
