The Schienezepplin, a German train built by Franz Kruckenberg in 1929, was powered by a giant propeller- it could hit 140 MPH but was considered too dangerous to put into service, and was scrapped. Billboards and outdoor advertisements have been banned in Sao Paulo, Brazil, since 2006. Irish dancer Michael Flatley of Riverdance fame, can tap dance at least 35 taps per second!

Can Mr. Flatley beat the penguins in “Happy Feet” movie in a dance-off?

Billboards have been banned in Hawaii for longer than that.

They should be banned in Florida . . . too many lawyers and doctors . . . disgusting!

I rather suspect Mr. Flatley won’t appreciate the middle-age spread they gave him. Last I saw, he was pretty buff.

I’m sure the Germans were later sorry that they scrapped the propeller train……at 140 mph , just think how many more undesirable people could be shunted to death camps…..

35 taps per second? Wow, how is that even possible? Even the 17+ per foot would be pretty dang fast. In looking him up, discovered he’s a former plumber from Chicago…did not see that coming!

That’s almost as fast as the Justice Dept. or the NSA can tap a phone…

Don’t let Jerry Brown find out about the propeller train. He might switch to it and pocket the money he saves. It would still be useless.

I consider high school announcements of upcoming events at them, flashed on their school name signs today, as outdoor advertising. Count them in with what we usually think of as “companies.”

I may be wrong but I think it should say….Michael Flatley once was able to tap at 35 per second. Its been a few years since his Riverdance days.
