The stereotype that all conservatives hate the environment couldn’t be less true. The EPA was created under Nixon. The reason Republicans distrust the EPA and other federal agencies, such as BLM, is over-regulation and over-reach. It’s not that we are against the environment, pollution control, or common-sense regulations, but when these agencies are weaponized for a political agenda, then we speak up.
