Good morning. Guess I’m way too early this morning. Will come back to see what cute pics everyone will post later.
Kittens have gone up to Best Friends for spay/neuter and shots. Their new families get them on Saturday. Rory won’t eat. No clue as to why. I took her to the vet and she is healthy. I have tried 4 kinds of cat kibble, kitten bits, 2 kinds of wet food, people turkey and chicken and a little bowl of milk.
Any suggestions? I cannot let her go to a new home until I know she is eating.
Poor Kitty won’t eat? I had a similar problem with Chester’s sister, Electric Shoe. She would not eat cat food at all, only cooked chicken, fish, etc. I had to blend in increasing amounts of regular cat food into her dinner. All in all it took a month and change to get her “converted”.I wish you luck and hug that poor kitty for me.Have you tried Tuna? It has a hypnotic effect on my kitties
Several mentioned yesterday the unusual font. I think it fits the cats perfectly and I am old with glasses and don’t have trouble, but for a long time I stopped reading Citizen Dog because I couldn’t make out the words. I don’t have a problem now.

I had. A cat she would only eat cooked liver her whole life, she would eat one or 2 pieces of cat chow each day too, the vet said that was enough to give her the nutrients she needed, sne died. When she was almost 10 but enjoyed every minute.
Thanks to all for advice. I did take her to the vet and he found nothing wrong. Last night she threw up a little liquid that looked like it had kitty litter (from her paw) in it. She did this near the litter box. Then we looked at her cat tree and there was cat nip bits in it that also looked like the little bits. We vacuumed that all up, cleaned up the barf and I put down one of those pads that is supposed to keep them from tacking litter.
Trying to remember some of your suggestions; Yes, we tried people chicken, turkey but not tuna. I have some and will try that.
As I sit here writing this, I just had a thought. (very rare for me!) I changed her litter brand about 7 days ago. I wonder if that got into her system.
I also called the vet again. I’m taking her in and have him give her some sub-Q stuff with vitamins. He said that might help her appetite. I’m also going to change the litter in her box right now. All of the stuff we buy is Tidy Cat clumping but someone gave me a box of some off brand stuff. I didn’t want to waste it – maybe I should have.

Hope Rory eats soon. I agree that tuna water may help. If vet finds no obstruction she may sense the coming change. Poor little girl.

Really-there is something fundamentally wrong with the whole concept of a cat who needs a sweater because you bred the fur off of them.
