Me too! What is that “view”? More than a mile would have been too much to spend on gas!

You might have something there, Redkaycei. It’s a thought.

They must be overlooking L.A. I vaguely remember that skit Jack Webb did with Carson. I think it was the copper clapper caper. It opened with Webb saying, “This is the City…”

It’s called Wide Open Spaces, y’all. It’s something some folks living in the concrete jungles don’t get to see very often. Enjoy the view, pretty soon it’ll be yet another shopping mall.

I’m voting with jtpozenel, the line at the top makes it look like a wall.

this looks just like the “scenic outlook” off I-5 into the San Joaquin valley. You could see the Sierras about 15 years ago, now it’s just a wall of haze

it isn’t the same type of view, but it reminds me of the scenic outlook tower in Riding Mountain Park in Manitoba. after my arthritic knees struggled the 4 stories up to the top of the tower i found the “view” to be almost completely blocked by the trees surrounding the tower.

I’ll go with Joe on this one. It’s a big empty plain, and those are very distant mountains on the horizon.

That’s a whole lotta nuthin’, ma’am. Y’all better enjoy it, you’ll probably never see anything like it again.

And now, please pardon a bit of a rant…

Why say the lady’s a Republican? You could fill in the blank with any political party of any nation of any point in history and come up with the same self-serving remark if you’re of the opposing party. How come everybody sees everyone else’s human nature but not their own? Didn’t Someone Very Famous say to take the beam out of your own eye before trying to remove the speck from someone else’s?

(this rant was brought to you by the Foundation for Militant Centrist Theocratic Monarchism)
