Thank you all for the birthday wishes! It is still a novelty to me. As a kid I didn’t get any snow days as it was 2 block to my school, and districts were less willing to have them back in the stone age. (perhaps people were less litigious?)As an adult, in my career as a Chef, there was no such thing. You should have seen the weather I had to commute in sometimes.I baked my own cake, made my own dinner as I have always had. But I enjoyed my day nonetheless.

Currently -25C here in Barrie, don’t even want to think about the wind chill. I was supposed to go for blood work this week, but I think I’ll put it off until Thursday or Friday when it’s supposed to be warmer.

There’s a classic Simpsons episode. Homer runs into church yelling “Sanctuary! Sanctuary!” Reverend Lovejoy buries his head in his hands and moans “Oh, why did I ever teach him that word?”

Pleased to say Bucky is doing lots better today. The swelling has gone down and he’s putting his full weight on that leg. He’s pretty much back to his bouncy self.

And Annie is thinking “Now what”?

Blackie says he’s sorry, but he’s not feeling too well himself. He touched a CATalogue!

A_Dream4u…some of the best birthday cakes I’ve had, I made myself. And of course, I’ve made cakes for anyone I knew was having a birthday. Any excuse for cake!!!
