jtpozenel: Earl isn’t broken – just well broken-in. :)
It’s easy to overlook how much hooey Opal gets back from Earl, but he holds his own just fine. Like most old married couples, they work well together and they’re comfortable with each other, no matter what it looks like to an outsider. And when you reach a Certain Age, comfortable is what life is all about…don’t knock it, young’uns.
