The thing to do is fill out the forms as early as possible (I used to have them done before the end of January). If owed a refund, send them in right away. If not, mail them at the last minute. That also gives you a chance to look for more deductions.
If I were an accountant, I’d open an office and call it 221B Baker Street Tax Service - The Masters of Deduction
