I have moved turtles (as large as 30 lbs) across streets only to have them walk back in the street. Finally I realized (see Genius next to my name) that the turtle wanted to be where he was going, not to where he’d been. Give me a Darwin.
Speed bump.
I guess in the fable, the truck straddled him harmlessly.
