Good extremely early morning. It’s 1:23 AM. Can’t sleep so thought I would check in here.
Susan took Rory late yesterday afternoon. She’ll be going to Gails’ this weekend.
I won’t be foster free for long. I took a sick kitty from the shelter to the vet yesterday and he’s being kept overnight. IF his fever goes down enough (it was 104), I can bring him home to fully recover. They won’t give him his meds at the shelter.
Given that Ten Cats world really does have nine lives for the little guys, it’s funny.
Our old tomcat (who reincarnated himself nicely, we’re actually thinking there is something to it) used up his nine by bodysurfing off of cars. Even so, he made it to a ripe old 22 years of age in his first incarnation.
I sometimes think that Yum Yum, with her attitude, is a reincarnation of my old Smoky. I always said that if we had acquired him after the A-Team started, we would have called him B.A. He could go from sleeping contentedly on your lap to raging whirling dervish in less than a second, and Yum Yum is the same way (Paul and I have the scars to prove it). Fortunately, these displays aren’t too frequent.
Love how Jack Soames POPPED up suddenly. That street next to the Warehouse needs some signage….such as SLOW…CATS. Now is the time to see Annie giving some instructions to TCs about taking more care when crossing roads!
I brought the shelter kitty home this afternoon from the vet’s office. His temp yesterday was 104 from the abscess! They kept him overnight and gave him a big mega-shot. It was down to normal this afternoon but they won’t give him meds at the shelter, which is why I brought him home. He looks just like my big grey Moosie! When I saw him at the shelter early yesterday, he couldn’t step on his paw – it just dangled there and he couldn’t walk.
I made a nice bed on the floor for him here in the den as well as setting up the kitty bed on the chair because I didn’t know if he’d be able to jump. He can. He’s sleeping now and just adorable. He even sleeps like Moose!

I know a cat that has recovered perfectly from two severe strokes. Could there be more to “nine lives” than a catfood brand?
