There’s a story about an old man that died with his dog and how they walk up to these ornate, gold gates and the man in front tells him no dogs allowed. The old man tells him never mind and walks away with his trusted friend. Further along they find a plain, wooden gate and man leaning up against it. The old man asks if he and his dog can enter and is told that of course they can both come in. The old man asks why they wouldn’t let his dog in at the main entrance and it’s explained that the golden gates was the entrance to hell and only a fool would give up the pure love of a pet for gold, it’s how the devil tricks the stupid.
The idea of halos, I believe, came from an interpretation of Ezekiel 1 where he sees the vision of living creatures which most believe are cherubim. In verse 18 it states in the KJV, “As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful…”

I always wondered how people came upon the idea of halos. You won’t find them in the bible.

If there aren’t dogs, it’s not Heaven.

When it came to throwing halos, that guy could really wing it.

I wonder if dogs in heaven do their business on the neighbor’s cloud.

If my dog’s not there, I’m not going.

So there are video games in heaven, they are playing HALO. I wonder if they have the classics, like maybe Space Invaders.
