Gee, Michael, after all the nasty remarks you’ve made about your mother’s cooking and baking, why would you even want one of her cookies? Why not just go mooch cookies from one of your friends?

My grandson would do that. Myself…I would just grab a couple of cookies and run. The heck with the subterfuge.

Now he gets to help mom replace the cookies he broke and if he whines, he’s grounded.

“C is for Cookie…” “Me do anything for Cookie!”

This is why I always baked a double batch when I made anything for an event or bake sale. I had brothers and sisters just like Michael – and there were five of them.

Somebody on a BB told how their kid tried to get into a tin of Xmas cookies and spilled some on the floor. Mom told him he had to eat the cookies that landed on the floor. Thirty seconds later she was smacking herself for thinking THAT would be a punishment. LOL!
