Watch the birdy gerdy. Spanking good story coming up now, I just know it.

It is possable that Walt actually sees the Birds and they are real. They just go away when Gertie comes around.

Maybe the birds are the spirits of departed souls who were important to Walt throughout his life. Or not.

Walt must have gotten a spiked lemond ade. And Axe Grinder is the first person that agrees with me that soul & spirit are not synonyms.

KingTutt: AxeGrinder is not the only one who agrees with you. We are all three-fold, body, soul and spirit.

While I prefer the comics in B/W in this case I’ll make an exception. All the different colors for the birds are great. Just a thought. Maybe Walt should say he sees a bird with a harmonica in it’s hand. That she’ll believe.

Scancarelli is one of today’s great comic strip artists. He has continuity as well as artistic ability. These birds are an example of his varied talents. I wish he would be drawing DT. He did include Tracy in an adventure in 2001 and did an excellent reproduction of him and B.O. and Gravel Gertie. He has included other comic strip cahracters at different times in honoring their achivements.

It’s going to be some sort of escape from a Bird Sanctuary. YAWN!

If Gertie appears looking like Tippi Hendron,,,,watch out Walt!

The thing that scares me is that I now see the birds as well. Those side effects are spreading people! ; )

I’m suddenly hungry for ‘Fruit loops’. cereal….

Have you considered that it might be Gertie’s reaction to her meds that is causing her to not see the birds?

Man, Jim can draw the classic Dick Tracy! I don’t currently read it.
