Ok, I am sure you all are waiting to hear this:The reason you may catch a “cold” by standing in a cold rain, or by getting cold in a variety of ways, is because when you are chilled, your body goes into self defense mode and focuses all available energy to fight off the cold temperatures. This leaves the body more defenseless against the already present virus or bacteria in the body, thus allowing these “bugs” to gain a stronghold! The result: You get sick!.Ok, so maybe you weren’t all waiting to hear this…(snerk)

I have felt like this several times. Fortunately, the feeling passes.

I had pneumonia when I was about Linus’ age. It wasn’t because I wished for it; I was too young to have such a crush. My first girlfriend was still about three years away at that point.

BTW, I love the coloring in Today’s strip. It catches the mood and the atmosphere perfectly.
