There is this peaceful white building with long beds I find very conducive to napping Sunday morning. Although the occasional singing may temporally wake me, the white noise drone from the pulpit returns me to the land of nod. Saturday naps for recovery, Sunday naps for preparation.
Dad used to say he was “meditating” in church, which was why his eyes were closed. However, more than once, Mom had to elbow him in the ribs to get him to quit snoring.
When I was young my family went to Quaker Meeting. No singing, no preaching, just everyone sitting in silent contemplation for an hour. I don’t know how (or if) ANYONE stayed awake the whole hour!

I hope Rory didn’t land on the clover that he does his business on.

@ Lewreader,
My dad used to say that if all of the people who slept in church on Sunday were laid end to end, they would be more comfortable.

Horatio is an awesome sleep dog. A watch dog you can hit the snooze on.

Horatio is the penultimate sheep dog. He lets his sheep sleep while he does the running.
