Wow! Broomie really knows how to do it!

Every morning I jump out of bed and yell Oh Boy! I wonder what’s happening at work today? Then I skip down the lane With a smile on my face and a song in my heart to greet my loving co-workers and understanding boss who recognizes acknowledges, and rewards my every effort.

Try it. I grumbled for 25 years but for the last 5 I got an office with a door that closed and very little work.

I’m I the only one who’s saddened by the first panel? Here it is mid-April and that poor leaf has already fallen from the tree! Cut off in its prime.

Dept. of Pedantry: “Turning over a new leaf” has nothing to do with leaves of trees. It refers to leaves of writing paper. “Turning over a new leaf” means starting anew on a clean page rather than crossing out or adding to what had previously been written.
