As I’ve said at the last few funerals I went to, “You know you’re getting old when funerals become your social events.” I’ve also made friends with the mortician, so what does THAT say about me? (He handled both of my parents’, and several friends’.)

I go to more funerals than weddings. The food and drink are better and you don’t wake up with the bridesmaid,

The older you get, the fewer people you have to talk to who remember when you weren’t old.
