Ants are supposed to be industrious, but Junior seems to be working too hard on getting away with it.

    Good Morning all!!!!!!!

I had a student bring back all her Progress Reports to get the extra credit points but didn’t do any work and failed the class. Her mom came in and claimed she never got any progress reports from me and said her daughter told her she never got any and that her daughter didn’t lie. I pulled out the sheets where students sign for their progress reports and the signed reports as well. Talk about something hitting the fan not to mention the butt. The girl lost her phone, car, and was grounded until all her grades were A’s. She is now in law school.

I did this when I was a kid. I thought that since I already knew what they were teaching that I didn’t need to do any homework. Which then led to notes home that I didn’t want my parents to see, so I forged my mom’s signature. I got away with it a couple times.

I pulled it on my mom once and got away with it, but boy did I have to pay little my brother off to keep him quite! We’re both in our 60’s and still don’t get along for more than a couple hours–then we’re at each other’s throats

Neither of these ants has eyelashes. How are we supposed to know which one’s the Mom and which one’s the Dad?

Or maybe Junior has two Daddies?

Of course, they’re calling the kid “Junior”; if his name is “Harold Ant, Jr.” and he simply signed the card “Harold Ant” (as opposed to “Harold Ant, Sr.”), can it really be considered forgery? I’m sure there’s a loophole there. If he can find it, maybe he, like pamloricat’s former student, has a future in Law School…

GOOD QUESTION!!! “fritzoid” (I don’t know how to make your name appear bold like you did for “pamloricat”). I just told my husband, the female ants used to have EYELASHES and now you can’t tell who’s mom or dad!!!

And your Jr./Sr. arguement is a good one, too. Maybe YOU have a future in Law School

    LOL!!

Loved everyone’s input today. The only thing I ever forged were the absence excuse notes… and then for my sister, not myself :)

ZynWoof, for italic type, put an asterisk immediately before and after the text you want italicized. For boldface, use double asterisks, and for bold italics, use triple asterisks. There are other ways of doing it, but that’s the method I use.

Also, I’ve worked for lawyers for over 20 years, and some of it has rubbed off on me. But having seen what kind of hours they put in to become successes at it, any desire I might have had to go to Law School myself has long been washed away…

    Finally, your avatar is ADORABLE!!!

Thanks! It’s my puppy-girl’s first picture from 1998. We lost her suddenly last year, but I still love that face!

Thank you for the lesson on the typeface. Please ignore my question from today 04/23/10 I thought of looking here after I wrote that!

And I agree, lawyers put in too many hours, I am married to one!!

Thank you again for the lessons, and I still think you would make a great lawyer/teacher!!!
