Seconded FishStix. There is way too much bigotry in the world.

I take exception to “thinking they’re something they’re not” more than “trailer-trash.”

When you’re as young as Agnes or Trout, you don’t KNOW what you are, and there’s not a lot that’s REALLY out of reach yet (if it ever will be).

Dream big, whatever your circumstances. Humble origins, and societal/economic obstacles, can be overcome. Yeah, it’s a lot HARDER when you’re starting behind the pack, but your biggest limitations are going to be those you impose on yourself.

Whoops, there goes another rubber-tree plant!

I certainly HOPE real-life children of “trailer trash” have lofty dreams and ideals - bless them all… “Ah, but a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, or what’s a heaven for?”

I know this is a politically loaded example, but Bill Clinton started out in surroundings little if any better than Agnes and Trout’s…

I have had time to cool down now, but it didn’t work! I live in a trailor and have all my adult life. I hold a job and raised a decent son. Watch your ivory tower Susan. If the children don’t have hopes and aspirations, then we might as well all give up!
