Topps in 1985 planned a Wacky Packages take on Cabbage Patch Kids for its 1985 Wacky Packages series but was rejected and instead Topps decided to do a sticker series spoofing Cabbage Patch Kids called Garbage Pail Kids and it ran for 15 series in the mid to late 1980’s with a new GPK revival starting in 2003 (A year later Topps would revive Wacky Packages for the first time since the 1991 series).
