Shave it Toby. Trust me, they come in much better after having been removed a couple of times. Besides, it didn’t take you 15 years. You’ve only been trying for maybe two.
@pacobuddu : when my sister was a teen she had a boyfriend that was trying to grow a ’stache. When evening when she came home after a date my mom took one look at her and said “what is that all over your face?”. Yup, it was mascara. My sis was embarrassed and furious! His mustache disappeared.
This is like what happened to me at fourteen. I had some pale downy fuzz on my chin and my dad pulled me aside and asked me if I’d like to start shaving.“No way,” I protested, “It took me fourteen years to grow this!”Eventually I got my first razor (a Bic) about a year later.
My poor younger brother seriously had to start shaving at 14. Sure, it was only every other day, but still. Recently, he got a part in a production of “Brigadoon” and was cast in the role of the father of the bride (the actress/bride is actually his same age, early 30’s) because he was the only one of the entire cast that could grow a full beard. He could hardly wait to shave the thing off after the run of the show.

Mine never showed up until I had to shave it off in boot camp; before then it was blonde fuzz.

I’m glad my employer allows us to be bearded. I really hate shaving.
