Basically this plotline has been limping along with 4 charachters for over 2 months! Maybe this is Neils response what he believes is Gil fatigue.Todd Andrews
I’ve never seen anybody talk and drink through a straw simultaneously, but Lumpy and Coach Bobby seem to have it mastered. Also, Max looks like his D was influenced by Liesl’s uncle, the famous sumo wrestler, Mongo Ishii.
In all reality , in P 3 Reed has substituted a bowling ball for the basketball , note the grip he has on the ball . Won ’t Max be surprised when Reed rolls it to a cutting teamate ?
Thought these two kids were in a drugstore yesterday with the fountain counter. As Lionel Richie’s “Stuck on You” plays over the outdoor speaker, I see the Speedco logo in P2. Watch out for the icy parking lot. HRRAACKK!
In case anyone doesn’t remember this, Max’s poor offensive game against this kid is what inspired him to beg Bobby for Placeberalls in the first place. So I’m on tenterhooks here waiting to see how he does this time.
Just a coincidence that I jokingly put Hoo Cola in the strip a few days ago and a poster for it shows up in the real Gil Thorp today? Proof they are reading Mopped Up Thorp!I wrote some of today’s dialog assuming Lumpy was Max, and then I read Bitsy’s comment. So had to redo it.

Whata you mean? I’m already a big time coach with a .500 record. Not to mention a big time drug, er, placebo dealer.

Judging by his left arm in P3 Reed can tie his shoe laces without bending down.

Might be the first basketball court with the floorboards running from sideline to sideline instead of end to end.

Coaches Held Hostage: Day 35 for Gil and Kaz; Day 69 for Mimi. This is starting to test my math skills.

OK, not really. But the plot having come full circle is an indication that it’s sputtering to its eventual completion.
